SCCM Linux Collection Query

In my previous post I have described how you can deploy SCCM client on Linux machines, in this short post I will quickly illustrate the WQL code necessary to create an SCCM Linux Collection containing all Linux, UNIX or Mac machines.

The first method I’m going to illustrate to create an SCCM Linux Collection is via the Administration Console GUI just choose to create a new collection limited to the All systems collection and use the parameters in the picture:

SCCM Linux Collection Query

Here’s the WQL code for the above query for your reference (even if the same would be visible in the Query editor):

select * from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.ClientEdition = 13

Once you’ve created the SCCM Linux Collection you can use it as usual to have your systems organized systems or target Software distributions.
