Outlook 2013 Disconnected – Profile not updating after mailbox is moved to Exchange 2013

Exchange Logo Exchange Product Team published an article on their blog to bring up to Exchange Administrators and Engineers alike an issue which is affecting Outlook 2013 with November and December updates installed.

If you are running the above Outlook version and migrating a mailbox from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 it can happen that Outlook cannot connect to the mailbox showing a status of disconnected:

Outlook 2013 Disconnected

A fix to the issue is being developed and should be released in the following days, if you are in the process of migrating your Exchange environment to 2013 and are running the affected Outlook version I would advise to wait until the fix is released by Microsoft but if you’re timeline is strict or you already hit the brick wall you can try the troubleshooting steps described in this KB Article while the original post from the Exchange Product Team can be found here.
